We did it! We made it to court with almost everyone in tow! Last night Roadie spiked a fever and didn't feel up to going this morning so my dad graciously offered to stay home with him.
When we arrived at the courthouse, everyone was filing out and across the street because, apparently, things can't go normally for our adoption. The fire alarm in the building kept malfunctioning. We weren't anticipating standing out in the freezing rain but, fortunately, it was only for about 10 minutes.
The hearing was quick and painless and the Judge made it a lot of fun for the kids. He's a great guy.
|We'll paste Roadie into this pic later|
Brenda almost didn't make it in time but we stalled the judge and she was able to rush in just as we were getting started. This case has been three years in the making and a tremendous victory for her. Can you tell that she was thrilled?
Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers. We appreciate it more than you know!
God places the lonely in families...
